For dinner, I've been experimenting with miso and trying to put it into many meals. This time I added miso to this fettuccine pasta with shrimp and bacon. It was delicious. Here's my account of it!
While the pasta was boiling and the chopped pieces of bacon in a pan cooked, I coated recently thawed out shrimp in white miso (shiro miso). Miso can be found in local Asian markets.
I then added, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, parsley, and basil. I just added any seasoning that I thought would be good.
Then, I cooked the shrimp in a pan. After, I drained the pasta and put it into the pan, and mixed all the ingredients together. I did add a bit of miso to the pasta and some seasoning.
I put the pasta into a bowl and topped it off with some white sesame seeds. These seeds gave a bit of crunch that I was looking for.
This meal featured a lot of textures, from the soft noodles to the chewy bacon. It was delicious, salty, and savory! I definitely want to keep this dish in rotation. It's simple and easy to make.
