The current situation has made it difficult on everyone. With that being said, I just want to thank the doctors, store cashiers, essential workers, kind people, etc., who have helped out in this situation.
I hope people are getting the food they need. For some, eating at home or making home cooked meals is something new. But don't worry, I have some great ideas for delicious, cheap meals!
Recently, I made bacon wrapped, cabbage rolls. They're basically steamed rolls filled with diced tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms.
First, I cooked the bacon. Then, I steamed Napa (Chinese) cabbage in a pan of water to soften it up, so I can roll it. After that was done, I rolled up the cabbage with the filling, and wrapped it all in bacon. Then, I steamed it in a pan of low water.
For flavor, I added some soy sauce to the pan. I also seasoned the ingredients beforehand. One can use anything from basil to salt and pepper.
I took the rolls out of the pan after the cabbage had a kind of transparent look. This was a delicious meal with salty and savory flavors! I only had four, but they filled me up.

Here's another recipe, but it's much sweeter! Lately, I've been melting marshmallows in a small pot. I add milk, and some coco powder. Altogether it's a nice chocolate, sort of fluffy, liquidy mixture. Then, I choose some fruit to pour the mixture over. It's an easy and sweet treat! Below are apples.

But you don't have to limit yourself to home meals, you can go through drive-thru places or get food delivered to you. Don't forget you can also pick up food from local businesses. Some fast food chains are giving out deals to the public. For example, Wendy's is giving out a free Jr. frosty with every drive-thru order!
Overall, I hope this post helps you with adjusting to this tough situation.
