Recently, I went to Olive Garden, in celebration of a friend's birthday. If it's your birthday, Olive Garden will give you a free dessert. My friend got just that.
I ate a lot of food, and I spent under $20 dollars!
I ordered the shrimp scampi for dinner, which comes with all you can eat breadsticks and soup or salad.
I ate two bowls of minestrone soup. One of my favorite soups, that's like a light, seasoned vegetable soup. It's also delicious to dip breadsticks in.

The shrimp scampi was simple in ingredients, but tasty. The asparagus was a little undercooked, but the shrimp and tomatoes were perfect. Everything was tossed in a light garlic sauce. I added salt and pepper for more flavor. This meal was not heavy for dinner, but still filling.

The best course was dessert. My friend allowed me to have some zeppoli, which are Italian doughnuts. They are covered in powdered sugar, and come with dipping sauces: chocolate and raspberry. The chocolate sauce was the best. It was not too sweet, and the consistency was between thick and liquidy-light. Overall, they are like eating sweet, fluffy pillows.

Until recently, I haven't been to Olive Garden in a year. After this trip, I'll definitely have to go more often!
I do have to say it all looks great! Sounds like the zeppoli is something I have not heard of. You must try making them yourself and let us know how it turns out.
